The members of the Sunapee Lions Club are associated with Lions International, the organization with the largest number of members in the world.  Lions work is mainly devoted towards helping with those having sight and hearing problems but we also do charitable work within our local communities, the states and the nations.  Locally, the Sunapee Lions Club is well-known for funds they raise to help the schools and to ensure that no one goes without eye care because of costs.  In addition, our Club raises considerable money to help with college and university scholarships for local students.

We have a number of fund raisers and also work projects throughout the area including our famous Lunch Wagon that appears at our local HS baseball events, Love Your Lakes Day and the Warner Fall Festival to name a few.  We also raise funds by selling flares for display during the fireworks around Lake Sunapee on July 4th and also have our great Annual Antique and Classic Car and Motorcycle Show at the end of June. Then, we promote, along with Outspokin' Bicycle and Sports Shop the classic Horror at Harding Hill Road, a mountain bike race sanctioned by the Eastern Fat Tire Association and done annually in July.

So, this club is an active and viable organization within the Town of Sunapee and also plays significant roles within Sullivan County and the State of New Hampshire and, with Lions International, the world.
